SAFFC close in on S.League title after beating Geylang United
Singapore Armed Forces Football Club (SAFFC) took a huge step towards their fourth consecutive S.League title as they fought from a goal down to hammer Geylang United 4-1.
Singapore Armed Forces Football Club bounced back from the Home United defeat as they scraped past Woodlands Wellington thanks to a solitary goal from former Woodlands player Park Tae Won in the 75th minute.
Despite having a host of chances to take all three points, Singapore Armed Forces failed to convert them as they were held to a goalless draw by Brunei DPMM in the S.League.
SAFFC has once again failed to bag the only piece of silverware missing from their domestic collection as they went down 3-4 to Brunei DPMM FC on penalty kicks.
Singapore Armed Forces FC (SAFFC) will face Brunei DPMM in the final of the 2009 League Cup this Friday after overcoming Home United FC and Woodlands Wellington FC in their respective semi-finals.
