Singapore beat Thailand 66-21 to book a spot in the final of the 3rd ASEAN School Games netball competitoin. Singapore had swept Brunei aside 74-12 in an earlier match.
Singapore clinched a joint-third position alongside Indonesia in both the boys' and girls' team categories at the 3rd ASEAN Schools Badminton tournament. Thailand and Malaysia claimed the gold and silver medals respectively in both categories.
Hwa Chong Institution student Wong Kai Yuen gave himself the perfect send-off for the World Youth Championships when he won a gold medal and smashed the championship record in the shot put (5kg) on the second day of the Third ASEAN Schools Games track and field competition.
Ng Chin Hui won a silver in the boys' 200m when he clocked a personal best of 22.05 seconds. The boys' and girls' 4x100m relay teams finished third and second respectively.
