Fairfield Methodist and Ngee Ann Secondary both notched a win in their respective Group C matches in Round one of the National B Division girls volleyball championship. Fairfield had to play to a third set to see off opponents Bukit Panjang Government High 2-1 (25-20, 18-25, 25-13) whereas Ngee Ann defeated Chung Cheng High (Yishun) 2-0 (25-17, 25-17).
Dunman Secondary survived a scare to hold off Chung Cheng High (Yishun) 3-2 at the C Division Girls Volleyball 3/4th placing match.
Nanyang Girls’ High held off a determined Chung Cheng High (Yishun) to progress into the National C Division Girls Volleyball Championship final. It was a close encounter, with Chung Cheng refusing to submit without giving Nanyang a run for their money. Nanyang eventually prevailed 3-2.
