Mark bagged the C Division boys' 100m gold in 11.59 seconds, while Sports School's Reuben Rainer Lee and Chong Wei Guan won the B and A Division races in 10.91s and 11.06s respectively.
The second last day of the National Schools Wushu Championship saw more athletes securing the sweet achievement of three gold medals – the maximum number individual contestants can achieve.
Hwa Chong Institution claimed its first A Division Boys team title in seven years and its first B Division Boys team title since 2003 at this year's National Schools Cross Country Championships, contributing to a clean sweep of the four divisions that the school competed in.
Jeft clocked 14.73 seconds with a tail wind of 0.1 metre/second in the final, ahead of National Junior College's Ken Hayashi and Victoria School's Gabriel Lee, who both posted 14.98 seconds in a photo finish.
With this win, Victoria improve to a 8-1 win-loss record since Round 1 with their sole loss against Meridian Secondary. They advance to the semi-finals as second-place finishers from Group X.
It came down to each school’s fourth-fastest B Division runner – ACS(I) had Joshua Loo in 11th, while HCI’s George Lai was 15th.
Joshua Rajendran of HCI and Travis Tan of RI came in second and third with timings of 10:41.18 and 10:42.14 respectively.
East View came back twice from a goal down to tie the game at 2–2, before Adib Fahim (VS #47) scored a last-gasp winner 39 seconds from time to clinch the title for Victoria School.
