Anglican High girls played the best match of their quarter final qualifying campaign so far when they romped to a comprehensive victory over Ahmad Ibrahim Sec. Led by forward Kum Yu Shi's (#13) 19 points, the taller and stronger Anglican High team never looked in danger of losing the game. They extended a first half 26-8 lead to an eventual 55-32 win.

Roundup of B Division national basketball first round action and quarter-final fixtures

Needing to win by 11 points to qualify for the second round, the girls of Unity Secondary did just that when a Unity player scored with just 6 seconds left on the clock to help her team beat Bedok North Secondary 52-41 to qualify for the quarter-finals together with Singapore Chinese Girls' School from Group D.
