Ashley Liew was second in 2:49:46 while Fang Jianyong was third in 2:53:35.
In previous editions, the marathon starts were at 5:30am, and the half-marathon was flagged off on Sentosa.
The route is largely unchanged, and will start at Orchard Road, outside of Mandarin Gallery.
Mok Ying Ren won the Local Men's Open category at the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore in a time of 2 hours 53 minutes 52 seconds. Rachel See was the winner in the women's category in 3:17:13.
The 10km, half marathon, and marathon routes have been unveiled for the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore. The three courses will only merge for the final 500m.
Haile Gebrselassie, regarded as the greatest long distance runner in history, will compete alongside 13,000 other runners in the 10km race at the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore on December 7.
Almost as soon as the results were posted, they were taken down the day after the race.
