SEA Games Waterski & Wakeboard: Singapore win 1 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze

Singapore's waterski and wakeboard contingent have won four medals so far at the South-East Asian (SEA) Games. Sasha Christian with one gold and one silver, Kalya Lee with one silver and Matthew Christian with a bronze, have helped to add to Singapore's overall medal tally. This is the first time that wakeboarding is featuring at the SEA Games.

SEA Games: 369 athletes to go; table tennis in limbo

369 athletes were selected to represent Singapore at the upcoming South East Asian (SEA) Games in Indonesia in November, 2011. In the meantime, the SNOC have deferred their decision on the table tennis representatives.

Wakeboarding West Side Jam 2011: Abdul Shahir makes final while Jerald Foo and Max Christian miss out

Singapore’s local contingent comprised the youthful Jerald Foo, Max Christian and Abdul Shahir. Jerald and Max were competing in the Open Men’s Wakeboard Open category where there are no restrictions on wake tricks. Shahir took part in the Freeride Men’s Wakeboard category, where competitors are restricted to a maximum of two spins or inverts off the wake or obstacle.

Singapore's number 1 ranked female wakeboarder Sasha Christian has become the latest branded athlete in Red Bull's stable, joining the likes of international stars like Formula One drivers Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, X Games champions Shaun White, Lindsey Vonn and Travis Pastrana, Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.
