Team Singapore's swimmers capped off an excellent performance at the pool with another two more golds on the final day of the swimming programme, part of a four-gold haul on the sixth day of the 25th South East Asian (SEA) Games.

Over 600 silat exponents are taking part in the annual National Pencak Silat Championship from June 29 to July 13. The Championship is an opportunity to discover the rising stars in Singapore’s Silat scene and to give the public a chance to watch the veterans Saiedah Said and Razif Moklas test their skills against one another.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic lead 6th Tertiary Silat Championships

Walking into the Republic Polytechnic Sports Center, I was reminded of a time not so long ago when I was involved in the annual Tertiary Silat Championships. Every year, the Championship is a feast for the senses. The oh-so-original, humorous yet tasteful cheers ever pleasant to the ears, the battle scars from your fight, the food that your team manager ordered due to care and concern for your well-being, and of course, the occasional sight of that cute pesilat whom you just cannot stop bumping into.
