To determine who makes it onto the course alongside the top international players, Tanah Merah Country Club will host the HSBC Women’s Champions Singapore Qualifying Round on Wednesday, January 16. Vivian Tang was Singapore's fastest woman marathoner at the recent 2007 Singapore Marathon, finishing the race in a time of 3 hours, 1 minute and 17 seconds. Having known Vivian since 2004, I did a double take when I saw her name spelled as "Vivien" in the official website of the Singapore Marathon as well as in the mainstream newspapers.
