Marc Amiruddin of the Singapore Sports School and Zachary Devaraj of the Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) followed up their victories at the Wings Cross-Country Championship last month with wins in the Under-14 and Under-17 categories respectively at the Akira/Swift Cross-Country Championship.

HCI girls’ cross-country team: “We were going for gold.”

The girls' cross-country team from Hwa Chong Institution won the A Division Championship title at the recent 49th National Inter-School Cross-Country Championships. Their top four runners came in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th to total 15 points. This was by far the lowest points amassed by a team among all girls' and boys' teams in all three divisions (A, B and C).

An Interview with Alexandria Wong of Methodist Girls’ School

Alexandria Wong of Methodist Girls' School is a figure skater and a runner. The 14-year-old athlete will be in Secondary 3 in 2008 loves nature, adding to the pleasure of her cross-country training through woods and trails. Her sporting exploits have put her into the final round of the Singapore Sports Idol contest. Red Sports recently caught up with her for an interview.
