Entering the semi-final, St. Margaret’s Secondary remained undefeated while Singapore Sports School recorded their sole loss to CHIJ Toa Payoh.
Keith Wong of HCI finished with a jump of 6.43 metres to take home his first A Division silver medal while Gary Wee of Singapore Sports School took bronze with a distance of 6.39 metres.
Both Joseph Johnathan Zhao and Aw Jian Yang of Hwa Chong Institution clinched the silver and bronze respectively with a distance of 13.69 and 13.64 metres.
Both team held 3–2 win-loss records coming into the game.
Leading up to the final, both Peirce and Greenridge remained undeafeated and had each won five consecutive games.
The inaugural National Deaf Games’ Futsal tournament was held this March and featured Deaf athletes competing in a futsal competition like any other.
Glen (#6) of ACJC led the scoring with three goals while Isa (#2) registered two goals. Daren Ong (#9) of RI managed to put in two goals for his team.
Rachel Ezekiel (#2) and Priscilla Ong (#10) led with hat-tricks, while Celine Mark (#9) paced her team with two goals.
