Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Saturday, January 14, 2017 — Ang Chen Xiang, 23, won the 110m Hurdles gold in a new record time of 14.39 seconds at the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Track and Field Championships.

The National University of Singapore undergraduate had set the previous record of 14.43s in 2016.

His winning time is also 0.01s outside his national record of 14.38s set in 2015 at the Singapore SEA Games.

Terence Tang, 20, of Singapore Polytechnic (SP) was second in 15.20s while Mohamad Alif Asyraf, 19, of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) was third in 16.52s.
