In 2014, we at Red Sports thought it would be a great idea if Singaporeans could do their 2.4km runs in the beautiful new National Stadium.

We rounded up some runners in 2014 to try out the idea, and then in 2015, we did it again, with Cleve Mu, 32, the fastest man on the day with a blazing time of 7 minutes 55.69 seconds.

We have been sharing the idea with everyone and we are so happy that the folks at Sport Singapore backed the idea.

ActiveSG, a division of Sport Singapore, is driving the idea and organising the event. The Active SG RED RUN 2.4 will happen over two days, Saturday and Sunday, 30 April to 1 May.

Isn’t that great?

If you’re training for your 2.4km, what better way to motivate yourself than to have a run at the spectacular National Stadium.

The stadium track is usually only reserved for elite competitions, so this is a rare chance to get a feel of what it is like to run on the world-class Mondo Super X track surface.

So if your 2.4km time is the fastest, you will be crowned Singapore’s King and Queen of 2.4.

So do register at the ActiveSG website by clicking here.

Over the two days, there will be an ActiveSG Athletics Fiesta, so those who are running the 2.4km can bring along their families, friends, and teammates to try out a fitness challenge and a dance session.

You can find out more details about the Fiesta by clicking here.
