Kuo Chuan captain, Gildon Tan (#13), was responsible for all five points in that quarter, including a 3-pointer that gave his team the lead.

Kuo Chuan started the second quarter with a full court press and pressured Queenstown into make mistakes. Their efforts paid off as they managed to extend their lead to 13-6 at one point. However, Queenstown managed to score a few baskets from fast breaks to end the second quarter just trailing by three points (13-16).

Queenstown continued their comeback in the third quarter. (#7) from Queenstown made two 3-pointers during the quarter and his team capitalized on their defense to catch up with Kuo Chuan and tie the game at 26-26 heading into the fourth.

However, Kuo Chuan pulled away from Queenstown in the fourth quarter, outscoring their opponents 15-6 to wrap up the 41-32 win.

Kuo Chuan vice captains Xavier Ong (#4) and Shen Jun Wu (#5) described the game as “very intense” and “quite challenging.”

Kuo Chuan captain Gildon Tan (#13) was proud of his team and said, “We played well because the bench encouraged us and a lot of players stepped up. We can improve on hustling and communication. On our offense, we usually only rely on one person and it’s not that good. We should be more organised.”
