Hougang Sports Hall, Monday, January 25, 2016 — Swiss Cottage Secondary (SCS) overwhelmed Assumption Pathway School (APS) 28-0 in the National B Division Floorball Championship.

Afiq (SCS #3) led with a game-high of four goals, followed closely by his teammate Muhammad Zaharfan (SCS #23) with three.

Swiss Cottage started on their scoring streak through Afiq (SCS #3), Muhammad Haiqel (SCS #99), and Ilario (SCS #9) within the first five minutes for a 3-0 lead. Swiss Cottage led 7-0 after the first period.

Assumption Pathway won a two-minute penalty in the second period but could not score a first goal. Assumption Pathway defended aggressively but Alif (SCS #12) scored with a close-range shot as the period drew to a close to establish a commanding 13-0 lead for Swiss Cottage.

With cheers from their bench for every goal, the third period saw Swiss Cottage widening their lead as they scored 15 goals, with Alif (SCS #12) scoring the final goal in a 28-0 win.

Swiss Cottage captain, Mohamad Tauhid (#11), said, “Overall our team did well. Although we didn’t play too well in the first minute, we pushed on, and it got better towards the end. However, there’s always room for improvement.”
