Singapore Basketball Centre, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 — Behind the plays of Jamie (#15) and Lydia (#8), North Vista Secondary edged out Yishun Town Secondary 35–31 to secure a qualification spot in the second round of the North Zone C Division Girls’ Basketball Championship
For North Vista, the victory is their third straight, while Yishun Town go down to a 2–1 win-loss record.
Jamie (#15) led North Vista with a game-high 15 points, while teammate Lydia (#8) contributed 13 points. Yishun Town had a 13-point effort from Xie Mu Qi (#11).
Both teams appeared equally matched, exchanging basket after basket.
While Yishun Town managed to hold their ground well in the first half, they allowed North Vista three extra points in the third quarter, which virtually sealed the victory for the latter.
In their final games of the preliminary round, North Vista will face Edgefield Secondary, while Yishun Town will go up against Presbyterian High. The games will be played at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at the Singapore Basketball Centre.
