Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 — Despite clearing her final jump off with zero faults, Singapore’s Catherine Chew had to settle for the silver medal in the individual jumping event at the equestrian competition at the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

During the final jump off, both Chew and gold medalist Sharmini Ratnasingham of Malaysia had cleared the course with zero faults. However, the Singaporean, with her horse, Coquira, took a second longer to clear the course in a time of 36.69 seconds.

The 26-year-old’s silver medal is an improvement from her result in the last Games, where she finished fourth overall.

In the bronze medal jump off, compatriot Predrag Marjanovic succumbed to Thailand’s Sailub Lertranachai to settle for a fourth-placed finish.
