Bukit Gombak Stadium, Thursday, April 16, 2015 — Shaun Moh of Dunman High School jumped a distance of 6.54 metres to defend his A Division boys’ long jump title at the 56th National Inter-School Track and Field Championships.

Despite his win, his performance today was 0.30 metres shy of last year’s jump. “Today, everyone performed under their standards and I was actually quite lucky to get first,” said Shaun.

Keith Wong of Hwa Chong Institution finished with a jump of 6.43 metres to take home his first A Division silver medal.

He said, “I think everyone could have done better because we are not very used to this stadium. Today’s placing was not really a good representative of the best jumpers.”

The bronze medal went to Gary Wee of Singapore Sports School who jumped a distance of 6.39 metres. In last year’s edition, Gary jumped 6.71 metres in the B Division category and did not perform up to expectations this time round.
