Jakabaring Athletics Stadium, Palembang, Indonesia, December 15-18, 2014 — Hannah Lee highlighted Singapore’s athletics team’s performance at the 17th ASEAN University Games with a silver in the women’s shot put with a distance of 12.76m, and a bronze in the women’s discus with a distance of 42.59m.

In the men’s 110m hurdles final, Ang Chen Xiang finished fifth and also recorded a personal best of 14.86 seconds.

Calvin Kang finished fourth and fifth in the men’s 100m and 200m, with timings of 10.61 seconds and 22 seconds respectively. Kang also recorded a 6.55m jump in the men’s long jump final to place seventh.

A 13.95m jump in the men’s triple jump final awarded Khan Meng Linn a fourth-placed finish. Khan also recorded a 7.10m jump in the men’s long jump final to finish fifth.

In the men’s discus, Benny Lam finished fourth with a throw distance of 42.05m, while Landdis Su finished sixth with a throw distance of 40.60m.

Soh Hua Qun, who was nursing an ankle sprain throughout the competition period, clocked a time of 4 minutes and 7.56 seconds to finish fifth in the men’s 1,500m final. Soh also completed the 800m final in 1 minute and 59.74 seconds to finish eighth.
