South Korea, Friday, September 26, 2014 — Gai Bin won a bronze in the final of the Men’s Individual 25m Centre Fire Pistol with a 584 score.

Compatriots Poh Lip Meng was 16th out of 28 shooters with a 576 while Nigel Lim Swee Hon was 22nd with 562.

Oleg Engachev of Qatar won the gold with a 585 while Jin Yongde of China grabbed the silver with 585.

Jasmine Ser was the top qualifier in the Women’s Individual 50m Rifle 3 Positions. Her score of 590 is a new Asian Games and Singapore national record.

Li Yafei finished 13th in the qualifier of the same event with a new personal best of 576 but did not make the final.

Ser eventually finished sixth out of eight shooters in the final with a 411.3. She was the only Southeast Asian shooter in the final.

South Korea, Thursday, September 25, 2014 — The Singapore trio of Gai Bin, Nigel Lim Swee Hon, and Poh Lip Meng secured an Asian Games bronze in the final of the Men’s Team 25m Standard Pistol.

The threesome combined for a 1692 total, 15 points behind Republic of Korea who finished second. China won the gold with a 1710 performance.

In the individual category of the 25m Standard Pistol category, Gai finished eighth, while Lim was 11th. Poh was one position behind in 12th.

The three shooters had finished seventh in the final of the Men’s Team 10m Standard Pistol earlier in the week.

South Korea, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 — The Singapore trio of Jasmine Ser, Li Yafei, and Cheng Jian Huan were in action for the 50m Rifle Prone category.

Li Yafei was the best Singapore performer in the individual category, finishing seventh out of 43 shooters with a 619.2 score. Ser was 14th with a 617.9 while Cheng was 43rd with 601.9.

The three women combined to finish ninth out of 13 in the team event.

South Korea, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 — Keith Chan, Ong Jun Hong, and Sean Tay Seng Liang took part in the Men’s Individual 10m Air Rifle qualification but did not make it through to the final.

Ong was the best Singaporean performer, finishing 24th out of 53 shooters. Tay was 28th while Chan was 46th.

The three men combined to finished 11th out of 15 in the team event of the same category.

South Korea, Monday, September 22, 2014 — The Singapore trio of Jasmine Ser, Martina Veloso, and Cheng Jian Huan missed out on a bronze by 0.5 points in the final of the Women’s Team 10m Air Rifle. Republic of Korea finished ahead of them in third while Iran were second.

China, who won the gold, were originally disqualified and Singapore moved up into the bronze-medal position. However, China successfully appealed and were reinstated.

Ser finished fourth in the final of the individual 10m Air Rifle. She was the only Southeast Asian athlete to qualify for the final.

In the final of the Women’s Team 25m Pistol, Teh Xiu Hong, Teo Shun Xie, and Nicole Tan Ling Chiao finished eighth out of 12.

South Korea, Sunday, September 21, 2014 — Gai Bin, Poh Lip Meng and Lim Swee Hon finished seventh in the Men’s Team 10m Air Pistol final with a combined score of 1715.

The three men did not qualify for the final in the Men’s Individual 10m Air Pistol.

Gai Bin was the best finisher (19th/57) with a score of 576. Poh Lip Meng was 24th with 572 points while Lim Swee Hon was 37th with a 567 performance.

In the Men’s Individual Trap (50 targets), Choo Choong Seng and Mohd Zain Amat did not qualify for the semi-finals. Zain was 17th out of 46 shooters with a 115 score while Choo was 20th with a 114.

South Korea, Saturday, September 20, 2014 — Nicole Tan, Teh Xiu Hong, and Teo Shun Xie did not qualify for the final of the Women’s Individual 10m Air Pistol. Xiu Hong was the best finisher in 10th place with a 381 score. Shun Xie 18th out of 52 with 377 while Nicole was 26th with a 372.

The three women finished 6th out of 14 with a 1130 total. China won the gold with a 1146 performance.

Lim Swee Hon finished 6th out of 8 in the final of the Men’s Individual 50m Pistol with a 109.4 score.

Gai Bin finished 25th out of 47 in the Men’s Individual 50m Pistol and did not qualify for the final. He had a 544-8x.

Gai Bin teamed up with Lim Swee Hon and Poh Lip Meng to 5th out of 13 with a 1656 total in the Men’s Team 50m Pistol. China won the gold with a 1694-42x.
