A three-point play from Wu Qingde (#7) opened the second quarter, but the Warriors responded with an 11–1 run to reduce the deficit to six points, forcing a timeout from the Slingers. After the timeout, a three-pointer from Ng Hanbin (#6) extended the lead to nine points, but the Warriors’ Vinton Nolland Surawi (#22) quickly followed with two of his own. Wong Wei Long (#5) nailed a three pointer after to spark an 11–1 run to give the Slingers a 42–25 lead to end the half.
