Singapore Basketball Centre, Friday, July 4, 2014 – Northland Secondary (NSS) defeated Punggol Secondary (PGL) 63–15 in their second game in the first round of North Zone C Division Boys’ Basketball Championship.

Northland Secondary have a 2–0 win-loss record, while Punggol Secondary lost both their games.

Enzio Choo (NSS #9) had a game high of 21 points.

In the first quarter, Northland were strong and fast on both ends, denying Punggol any shots. Northland took a 17–6 at the end of the quarter.

Punggol were unable to beat Northland’s defence, causing multiple turnovers. PGL (#7) had a good game, as he scored eight of Punggol’s 15 total points.

Northland were performing well which allowed them to take the lead throughout the game. Enzio Choo (NSS #9) had an outstanding performance among his team with 21 points.

Northland sealed the eventual 63–15 victory, giving them their second win of the season.

Top scorer, Enzio Choo (NSS #9) commented, “The game was intense and fun. We have teamwork and trust towards each other. I think my team did alright. I never expected I will turn out to be the top scorer but I hope I’ll continue to do better. I hope we’ll improve on our shooting, dribbling and defending in the next game.”

Northland will next play Woodgrove Secondary, while Punggol will play North Vista Seconday on Tuesday, July 9. Both games will be played at the Singapore Basketball Centre.
