Clementi Sports Hall, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 – River Valley High School were comfortable 96–4 winners in their Group D match against Hong Kah Secondary in the West Zone C Division Basketball Championship.

Chua Shi Rong (#7) poured in a game-high 24 points for River Valley while Jacob Tan (#6) and Cai Yu Han (#11) both added 19 points each in the victory. River Valley now lie second in Group D behind Bukit Panjang Government High, who beat them on the opening day of competition.

“We were good in our defensive performance and that is why we managed to win this one,” said Lin Bak Hin (#14), captain of River Valley.

“We also took our fast break chances well. This win provides a great boost in our moral for our coming matches. We are aiming to get into the top four this year and we want to beat Bukit Panjang if we face them again,” highlighted Lin.
