Wednesday, May 28, 2013 – A Red Sports story is one of four finalists for the ‘Most Inspiring Sports Story of the Year’ category at the upcoming 2013 Singapore Sports Awards.

The story centres on Gerrard Lin who dragged a 14kg tyre for 42km at the 2012 Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore to raise funds for the Bone Marrow Donor Programme.

In 2008, Red Sports was also nominated for the S.League Story of the Year award for our interview series on national footballer Aleksandar Duric.

This award was first introduced at the 2012 Singapore Sports Awards. The Singapore Sports Awards is billed as Singapore’s most highly coveted honours for sporting achievements, covering 12 award categories that cut across various facets of the sporting ecosystem – from athletes and coaches to event organisers and media. Apart from the “Most Inspiring Sports Story” category, recent additions include the “Best Sports Event (International)” and “Best Sports Event (Local)”.
