Bishan Stadium, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 — Nur Umaiira binte Razlee of Greenwood Primary won the C girls’ 100 metres gold in a time of 13.93 seconds at the 54th National Inter-Primary Track & Field Championships.

Umaiira managed to surpass her personal best timing of 13.97s in the semi-finals. The 11-year-old has been training for this event since Primary Two.

“I am happy to have won the race,” said Umaiira.

Valencia Ho of Nanyang Primary was initially in the lead but Umaiira oveertook her at the 50m mark, leaving Valencia to settle for the silver in 14.22s. Salvador Angelica Marquez of St. Anthony’s Canossian was third in 14.56s.

The C girls’ 100m record of 13.72s and was set by Lim Ying, then of Nanyang Primary, in 2009.
