Singapore Sports School, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 — Raffles Institution swept to the gold medal and set a new meet record with a timing of 2 minutes 2.91 seconds in the girls’ A Division 4×50 metres medley relay final at the 54th National Schools Swimming Championships. In doing so, they broke Anglo-Chinese Junior College’s 10-year record of 2:04.81.

The Raffles relay team consisted of Anissa Lye, Cheryl Lim, Chelsea Fuchs and Koh Hui Yu.

Cheryl commented: “It feels great to break the record, considering that this is my final year.”

RI took the lead on Cheryl’s breaststroke leg and never relinquished it.

ACJC and Temasek Junior College took home silver and bronze with timings of 2:05.45 and 2:09.39 respectively.
