Singapore Basketball Centre, Thursday, January 28, 2012 — Singapore lost 63-75 to regional powerhouses Philippines at the 8th South-east Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) Under-18 Championship.

Singapore trailed by three (13-16) and two points (17-19) at the end of the first and second quarter respectively as the Filipinos took a five-point, 35-30 lead into the half-time break.

Our boys then outscored the Filipinos 22-20 in the third quarter to trail by only three (52-55) heading into the final quarter but the Filipinos put together a 20-11 final quarter to win the game.

Delvin Goh had a game-high 17 points with seven rebounds and five assists while the Philippines were led by Rodolfo Alejandro who had 13 points.

This was the second loss in a row for the Singapore U18s. They went down 43-54 to the Indonesia U18s after opening the championship with a 123-19 win over Laos.
