Jalan Besar Stadium, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 — The Singapore LionsXII recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Sarawak FA in front of 6,391 fans in the Malaysian Super League (MSL).

It was the lowest home crowd of the season.

LionsXII’s Safuwan Baharudin opened the scoring account when he was left unmarked to head into the empty net for the LionsXII in the 7th minute.

Sarawak were rattled but did reasonably well at the back to keep the LionsXII away. It however did not last. In the 36th minute, Agu Casmir’s powerful shot left Sarawak’s goalkeeper Saiful Amar no chance.

LionsXII’s tight defensive line made it difficult for Sarawak FA to create any chances of their own to get back into the game.

The momentum did not change in the second half, and in the 64th minute, Agu Casmir sealed the win for his team with another well-placed shot.

LionsXII will next play Sabah on Saturday, June 16th.
