Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Thursday, April 5, 2012 — Bryan Wong of Raffles Institution won the C Division High Jump gold with a 1.70m effort at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.

His height was comfortably ahead of Ong Sim Hao of Hwa Chong Institution who finished second with a 1.58m jump. David Chung, also of HCI, also cleared 1.58m but finished third on a count back.

The Championship record is 1.82m and was set by Wayne Yap, then of HCI, in 2006.

Hairul Syamil Bin Mardan came the closest to winning a medal of any colour for his school, Jurong Secondary, when he finished fourth with a 1.53m effort.
