Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 — Alicia Long of Nanyang Girls’ High threw a distance of 31.32m to win the B Division Discus final at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.

Fiona Ng of Cedar Girls’ Secondary came closest to her with a 30.49m effort to win the silver while another Cedar Girls’ athlete, Chia Sing Ping, won bronze with a 27.76m throw.

The Championship record of 37.94m was set by Chan Zhi Xuan, then of Cedar Girls’, in 2010.

The final was dominated by Cedar Girls’ and Nanyang Girls’, with each school having three athletes finishing in the top eight.
