53rd national schools track and field championship

Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 — Nah Yi Xin of Cedar Girls’ Secondary came home first in 5 minutes 24.54 seconds in the C Division 1500m final at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.

The Championship record is 4:57.24 and was set by Yvonne Lin Cuiwen, then of Hua Yi Secondary, in 2005.

Annika Mock of CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh) was second in 5:27.79 while Sherienne Koh of Crescent Girls’ School was third in 5:29.81.

Peh Jia Wen of Commonwealth Secondary came the closest to winning a medal of any colour for her school when she finished fourth in 5:30.44.
