Orchid Country Club, Sunday, April 29, 2012 — Erick Ching, 35, of Sembawang Cluster bowled the highest three-game total score of 652 pinfalls in the morning session of the Individual Men’s competition of the 2012 Community Games.

Erick’s average was 217.3 while his best-game score was 235.

Erick was followed in second place by Alex Tay of Tanjong Pagar with 629 while Hong Jun Liang of Ang Mo Kio posted the third highest score of 625.

Erick’s Sembawang cluster mate, Kelvin Lim, was fourth with a 618.

73 bowlers from seven clusters — Ang Mo Kio, Bishan-Toa Payoh, Tanjong Pagar, Moulmein-Kallang, Holland-Bukit Timah, Nee Soon, Sembawang — took part in the morning session. There were even more bowlers scheduled to bowl in the afternoon and evening at Orchid Country Club.

All 73 bowlers will face off against each other again for another round on July 15th at the same venue.

The best bowlers will represent their cluster at the Singapore National Games scheduled for September 1st to 9th.
