Petaling Jaya Stadium, Saturday, April 14, 2012 — The Singapore LionsXII saw their 10-game unbeaten streak come to an end when they went down 0-1 to PKNS in the Malaysian Super League (MSL).

A controversial goal was the difference in the game. LionsXII goalkeeper Hyrulnizam was tracking an incoming free kick when he was knocked over by a PKNS attacker. The ball sailed directly into goal but the referee did not call for a foul on Hyrulnizam.

The last time the LionsXII lost a game was against Terengganu at home on January 28th. Since that defeat, the LionsXII put together a string of eight wins and two draws.

Despite the loss, the LionsXII are still top of the league table. They lead second-place Kelantan by five points although they have played three games more.

The LionsXII take on PKNS again at home today at the Jalan Besar Stadium, Tuesday, April 17th.

55% of home game tickets were sold during the pre-match sales. The LionsXII have seen a drop in the number of fans in their last few games. The last home game saw just over 6,000 fans in the 7,500-seater stadium, the lowest home attendance in eight games.
