Chung Cheng High School (Main), Tuesday, April 3, 2012 – Wayne Tay of Anderson Secondary performed a near-perfect routine in the B Division boys Changquan (1st International) event to clinch the first placing and seven precious points for his school. He obtained a score of 8.73 for his efforts.

Etienne Lee of Hwa Chong Institution came in second with a score of 8.68 and Yap Zheng Yan of Junyuan Secondary surprised the field with an 8.65 for the bronze.

Wayne’s schoolmate Jowen Lim, followed up his senior’s achievement with a winning effort in the C Division boys Changquan (1st International) event. His score of 8.70 pipped his fellow schoolmate Goh Jun Wei who took second place. Jun Wei had scored 8.60 for his event.

Hwa Chong Institution’s Khow Yong Zhi came in third with a score of 8.48 while Catholic High’s Adalia Jesse Colin came in fourth with a score of 8.46.

In the B Division girls category, it was an even closer affair. Fung Hui Xin of Anglican High scored 8.61 to clinch the first placing. Chung Cheng High School (Main)’s Low Pei Xi edged out Almond Ng of Nanyang Girls’ High School 8.53 to 8.50 for second place. There was some consolation though for Nanyang Girls’ as Lee Chyi Fang from Nanyang emerged fourth with a score of 8.23.
