Presbyterian High, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 — Dunman Secondary gave West Zone runner-up Bukit Panjang Government High a sound 2-0 (25-10, 25-7) thrashing to win their final Group B match at the National B Division Boys’ Volleyball Championship.

Dunman finish top of the group while Bukit Panjang are eliminated having lost a crucial tie to Punggol Secondary earlier in the competition.

Dunman established their dominance right at the start as they blitzed off to lead 10-5.

Despite Bukit Panjang closing in to within four points at 12-8, Dunman quickly reasserted themselves as they pounded Bukit Panjang with their attacks. Bukit Panjang had no answer to Dunman’s spikes and soon saw themselves trailing 10-24 after a drop ball by Mark (Dunman #11).

Dunman subsequently sealed the set after a Bukit Panjang player sent his spike out of bounds.

Dunman continued their fine form in the second set as they raced ahead to establish a commanding lead.

Bukit Panjang were still unable to reverse their fortunes and were forced to call a timeout at the 19-6 mark.

Dunman continued their rampage and quickly finished off the second set 25-7.
