Pickering Street, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 — Life insurance company, Great Eastern, extended its co-title sponsorship of the S.League for two seasons. The sponsorship is valued at S$1 million and will span the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Yeo’s is the other title sponsor and 14 teams are expected to start the 2012 S.League season.

“We are happy to continue our partnership with the S.League which we have been supporting since 2009. Football has always been one of the top sports in Singapore and our association with the league has helped to bring the Great Eastern brand closer to the community,” said Dr Khoo Kah Siang, the Singapore general manager of Great Eastern Life.

Great Eastern also sponsors the Women 10km running event.

Great Eastern will also work with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to reach out to schools. Lionel Lewis, Aleksandar Duric and Paul Cunningham will be the ambassadors for the schools’ outreach programme.

The company will also the season opener Charity Shield match on February 5th with proceeds and donations raised in conjunction with this match going towards their adopted charity, the MINDS Fernvale Gardens School.
