Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Saturday, October 29, 2011 –- Singapore’s Wang Yuegu qualified for the quarter-final stages of the Women’s Table Tennis World Cup when she saw off Li Jiao of the Netherlands 4-0.

On the other hand, compatriot Li Jiawei did not make the second round when she fell 2-4 to world number two Ding Ning of China. Jiawei had levelled the game at 2-2 but could not produce an upset.
