Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, September 20-24, 2011 — The Singapore Under-23 national football squad lost all their three games in the Ho Chi Minh City Cup, a tournament that was meant as preparation for the upcoming November SEA Games in Indonesia.

In their first game against Qatar U-17s, they lost 0-2 and followed that up with a 0-3 reverse to a South Korean university team.

The Young Lions finally scored their only goal of the tournament with an early opener against the Vietnam U-23s but shipped two goals to lose 1-2 eventually. The Vietnam U-23 squad is also headed for the upcoming SEA Games.

The Qatar U-17s won the four-team tournament.
