Nike Fit, who failed to defend their title in the Energizer Netball League Division One final, are certainly hungry for a gold medal in Division One of the Year End League.

Placing two key players at both defending and attacking end, Nike Fit kept most of their opponents at the bay.

The two key players of Nike Fit, 1.96m Chen Li Li, a new national player from China, and 1.8m Yu Mei Ling from the 19 and Under (Post School) squad,, helped Nike Fit to earn victories easily. With Chen and Yu playing Goal Keeper and Goal Shooter respectively, Nike Fit’s opponents found themselves searching for solutions to overcome them.

In the opening match, Nike Fit swept away Katana, 77-16. Nike Fit then thrashed Bedok Kings Blue 65-23. Continuing their winning momentum, Nike Fit took apart Revive and Aciers 83-19 and 81-19 respectively.

In the fifth match, Nike Fit encountered one of the two toughest opponents of the division. Nike Fit could only edged out Bedok Kings Red 48-40.

In the following week, Nike Fit took a breather as they faced SCC Hawks and easily defeated SCC Hawks 48-28.

Nike Fit will take on NZCC Kea who have improved by leaps and bounds since the Energizer Netball League in June. NZCC Kea, who lost narrowly by a 37-34 scoreline to Bedok Kings Red, will need to overcome Nike Fit by at least four goals margin to qualify for the final along with Nike Fit.

The crucial match between NZCC Kea and Nike Fit which was supposed to be played last Tuesday was postponed due to the weather.
