Padang, Sunday, November 7, 2010 — “Absolutely amazing. We won it last year; we won it this year. It’s the best we did ever. It’s my last year at Tanglin and I’ve got to say I don’t think I would ever feel like this again. Absolutely brilliant,” said Tanglin Trust School captain Roarke Littla after clinching the under-19 championship yet again with a 10-5 victory over United World College (UWC).

Tanglin got the opening try in a first half that went mostly in their favour. Minutes into the game, Callum scored a brilliant try to make it 5-0. By halftime, Tanglin were up 10-0.

Four minutes into the second half, Mark Shaun of UWC put in an amazing run and gave his team their only try of the match which was not converted. In the last minute, UWC had a penalty but failed to convert and the match ended 10-5 in favour of Tanglin.

Speaking on their training leading up to the tournament, Littla said: “(It was) absolutely massive, our coach got us into such shape. Without him we would not even be close to this. The weeks running into it, we were training every single day. We just trained our arse off and I think it carried off towards the end.”
