At the post-match press conference, Burnley FC coach Brian Laws admitted the Singapore Selection side posed many problems for his team.

“This was certainly the toughest test of our tour without question,” he said. “But I’m pleased with the work ethic of my players.”

“Raddy was spot on in the pre-match press conference that this would be a tough game,” he commented. “All the Singaporean players played well, they’re all alert and caused us a few problems.”

Meanwhile Singapore coach Raddy Avramovic remained proud of his team in defeat.

“I am very happy with the boys, They have done more than I’ve expected,” he said. “It’s a real shame we could not score at least one goal.”

“I think the players coped well with the experience of playing against a top ex-EPL side, but I will like to see them get involved more in the possession of the ball,” he ended.

Burnley will now proceed back to England after a satisfying Singapore tour while the Singapore Selection side will be looking to play more friendlies to prepare themselves for the upcoming Asian Games in November.
