NUS win Singapore University Games rugby 7s title

Sunday, October 4, 2009 – The National University of Singapore (NUS) ‘A’ beat the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) ‘A’ team 26-14 to capture the 2009 Singapore University Games (SUniG) rugby 7s championship title.

The two-day event saw NUS breeze through the group stage, outscoring their opponents by a massive 65-7, with NTU ‘B’ the only team to get any points against them.

NUS ‘A’ then came up against stiffer opposition in the cup semi-final where they edged out Singapore Management University (SMU) 12-10 before going on to win the championship title with a 26-14 win against NTU ‘A’.
