How many times have you gone down for training and the first thing you do is stretch? If you do, you’re weakening your muscles.

According to a New York Times story, you should only do static stretching after you’ve warmed up.

Most professional athletes and coaches now understand this and that’s why you see athletes spending time warming up by jogging before stretching.

But amateur athletes continue to do static stretching because they usually don’t know better.
