Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Friday, July 11, 2008 – Ng Chin Hui (#155) of the Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) won the gold for the C Division Boys 400m event at the 49th Inter-school Track & Field Championships with a time of 51.97 seconds. With this time, he broke the C Division Boys record of 52.42s set by Singapore Sports School student Jamie Ross Coates in 2006. Chin Hui came in third last year in the same event where he clocked 54.95s.

Samuel Tay (#553) of Hwa Chong Institution took the silver with a time of 53.67s. He was eighth in last year’s competition with a time of 57.2s.

Slower by just a split second, Nicholas Chan (#156) from ACS(I) took the bronze with a time of 53.68s. Samuel was literally just a nose ahead of Nicholas, leaving Nicholas to settle for the bronze.
