VJC, Monday, April 21, 2008 – Victoria Junior College continued their unbeaten run with a 6-0 thrashing of Anderson Junior College in an A Division Football Championship game earlier this week.

VJC have now won six straight games for a perfect 6-wins-0-losses record, outscoring their opponents 22 goals to one in Group B. Meridian Junior College now sit in second spot with a 4-0 record, their latest win a 2-1 triumph over Millenia Institute who are third with a 2-2-2 record. MJC enjoy two games in hand over MI and should qualify in second spot.

In Group A, Anglo-Chinese Junior College drew 2-2 with Nanyang Junior College to keep their lock on first place (4-1-0). With 13 points, they are five points clear of nearest challengers Raffles Junior College (2-2-1) whose last result was a 3-0 win over Yishun Junior College (1-0-4). Breathing down RJC’s necks is St Andrew’s Junior College in third place, a point behind, but with two games in hand over the Rafflesians.

Group A is a wide-open group, with RJC, SAJC, NJC, JJC and NYJC all with a realistic chance of qualification for the semi-finals.
