NTU got off the brighter of the two sides and led 14-8 at the end of the first quarter but NUS came back in the second and levelled the score at 16-16 when Sheena Tan (#21) dropped a three-pointer, eliciting a huge cheer from her bench. NUS could not keep up the scoring pace however and NTU led 30-22 at half time.

In the third quarter, NTU outscored NUS 15-9 to keep NUS at arms’ length. The only highlight for the NUS girls was a three-point basket at the end of the quarter by Luisa Neo (#23) from way outside the three-point line at the buzzer to make it 31-45.

However, NUS made a game of it in the fourth quarter, matching NTU point-for-point. However, there was no containing Cheryl Poon (#9) of NTU who finished with a game-high 31 points, including three three-pointers. With the SUniG title under their belt, NTU should now be one of the favourites for the upcoming 2007 ITE-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Games.
