Catholic High started the game with purpose from the beginning, keen to overcome any signs of sluggishness displayed in their last match against United World College. Their superior skills and fitness soon showed when they quickly jumped to a 23-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. The expatriate team from OFS could gain little headway while Catholic High, on the other hand, managed to pile up the points through steals, fast breaks and simple lay ups. The second quarter saw the score line extend to 35-18 in Catholic High's favour.

OFS made a strong comeback in the third quarter, however, closing the gap to 11 points at one stage. They did this through determined drives to the hoop for lay-ups and were fouled constantly in the process. The Catholic High shooting went strangely cold in the quarter, opening the door for a possible comeback by OFS. Phillip Lee of OFS was instrumental in leading his team through this quarter, scoring 5 points for the team and making crucial assists.

All such hopes were quickly quashed in the fourth quarter when Catholic High’s starting five re-entered the court. They quickly extended the lead while shutting down their opponents' offense through aggressive man-to-man defense. Catholic High outscored OFS 25-6 in the final quarter to eventually win the game 67-35.

James Hong (#6) of Catholic High led all scores with 17 points while teammates Chong Ming Xuan (#14) and forward Jabez Su (#9) contributed 16 points and 15 points respectively.
