Anglican High recovered from their heartbreaking loss to Raffles Girls’ the day before to comprehensively beat Jurong 47-26 and set themselves up with a chance to qualify for the semifinals.

Jurong kept pace with Anglican for most of the game and at the end of two quarters, were only five points behind at 15-20. In the third quarter, Jurong started to fall behind and the gap extended to eight with the score at 22-30. Jurong’s resistance fell in the fourth quarter as Anglican High outscored them by a massive 17-4 to finish the game comfortably ahead 47-26. Showing that they are not a one-person team, Anglican High got most of their points from three players: captain Zoe Eng (#9), Chua Ting Yi (#10) and Rachel Wang (#4).

With this win, Anglican High now face a must-win game against Chung Cheng High in order to qualify for the semifinals. Chung Cheng High have already qualified from their group.
