For the first three quarters, Nanyang stayed comfortably ahead. At half-time, they lead 20-11. By the end of the third quarter, Nanyang stretched the lead to 11 points with a score of 30-19. Then Dunman exploded in the fourth quarter and started to catch up with Nanyang. With 1:50 left on the clock, Dunman had successfully erased an 11-point gap and made it a tied game at 35-35. Despite that valiant effort, Nanyang managed to stay calm and Sharlene Huang (#13) of Nanyang put her team ahead at 37-35 to ease the pressure slightly on her team. Dunman kept trying and trying but the ball just would not sink in for them. Finally, a breakaway by Jolie Ng (#9) of Nanyang for a free layup ended the Dunman resistance.
