National ‘C’ Division Championship 2007
2nd Round
St Andrew’s vs St Joseph’s Institution
Thursday, 2 August 2007 at SJI

Update from a Red Sports reader who is an old boy of St Andrew’s. Thanks.

St Andrew’s fearlessly went into the home ground of St Joseph’s Institution and came away with a 55-0 win. As a sign of things to come, Saints managed their first try when the game was only 50 seconds old. By half time, the score was 38-0. Fielding a team of mostly Secondary 1 reserves in the second half, Saints maintained the pressure to score 17 more points to win the game comprehensively.

Since the start of the ‘C’ Division Championship campaign, no school has managed a try against the Saints who now go into the semifinal next Monday against Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road). The 3:30 pm semifinal will be played at Yishun Junior College followed by the second semifinal game between Anglo-Chinese School (independent) and Raffles Institution.
